Bone Health Technologies Names Chief Medical Officer, Welcomes Three New Board Members
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (May 3, 2023) – Bone Health Technologies (BHT), a leading innovator of technologies for improving bone health and preventing bone diseases, names Dr. Pamela Peeke as the new Chief Medical Officer and board member and appoints two new board members: Dr. Kian Beyzavi and Marcie Hamilton. The addition of these talented professionals will enhance BHT’s product, research, and commercial growth capabilities.

Dr. Pamela Peeke is a clinical scientist, Pew Foundation Scholar in Nutrition and Metabolism, Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Maryland, and holds master’s degrees in public health and policy from the University of California Berkeley. Dr. Peeke is a nationally recognized expert in women’s health, menopause, and longevity. She is a member of the National Menopause Foundation Medical Advisory Board and a Trustee on the American College of Sports Medicine Board. In addition to providing in-studio medical commentaries for national networks, Dr. Peeke is an acclaimed TEDx presenter, three-time New York Times bestselling author, and host of the top-rated HER podcast. Dr. Peeke will join Bone Health Technology’s board in addition to serving as its Chief Medical Officer.
Dr. Kian Beyzavi and Marcie Hamilton join BHT as board directors. Dr. Kian Beyzavi earned her PhD in Electrical Engineering/Applied Physics from Princeton University. Her work focuses on solutions that marry dynamic data and AI and machine learning to drive advances in patient care with a system-level view of the healthcare landscape. Over the past 20 years, Dr. Beyzavi has played a key role in developing multiple MedTech, Digital Health, and Biopharma products across 60 companies. She started her career at McKinsey & Company and has held senior executive positions at Medtronic, Abbott Diabetes, and Novartis Diagnostics. She has also been a venture investor, advisor, and board member for significant medical companies like Inflammatix, Vave Health, Excision, and ActiveSurgical. Dr. Beyzavi is a Council on Foreign Relations member and a California Academy of Sciences trustee.
Marcie Hamilton is a program and operations leader in medical devices and consumer products. After earning her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, Hamilton became the sole program manager at VivaRay Inc., making significant contributions that led to an acquisition by Varian Medical Systems. More recently, she co-founded Potrero Medical, which developed a predictive technology platform for early detection of critical illnesses.
